Al-Baghdadi

Al-Baghdadi, born Ibrahim Awad al-Badri, was an Iraqi militant leader who founded and led the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), a militant jihadist organization. He declared a caliphate in 2014, aiming to establish a strict Islamic state across parts of Iraq and Syria. Under his leadership, ISIS was responsible for widespread violence, terrorist attacks, and severe human rights abuses. He was killed in 2019 during a U.S. military operation in Syria. His actions significantly impacted regional stability and global security, highlighting the threat posed by extremist ideologies.
