AISB Convention

The AISB Convention, or the International Convention on the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism, is an international treaty aimed at preventing and combating the financial support that enables terrorism. It requires countries to criminalize the act of providing funds for terrorist activities, investigate related crimes, and cooperate with other nations to track and block financial networks supporting terrorism. By strengthening legal measures and international cooperation, the Convention seeks to cut off terrorists’ access to money, making it harder for them to plan and carry out attacks.
