Airborne allergens

Airborne allergens are tiny particles or substances suspended in the air that can trigger allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. Common airborne allergens include pollen from trees, grasses, and weeds; mold spores; pet dander (tiny skin flakes from animals); dust mites; and insect debris. When inhaled, these allergens can cause symptoms such as sneezing, nasal congestion, itchy eyes, and asthma. They are usually present outdoors and indoors, especially in places with poor ventilation or moisture. Minimizing exposure involves regular cleaning, air purification, and avoiding known triggers, helping allergic individuals manage their symptoms effectively.
