Air Refueling

Air refueling is a procedure where an aircraft receives fuel mid-flight from a specially equipped tanker aircraft. This allows the receiving plane to extend its range, stay airborne longer, or carry out longer missions without landing. During refueling, the tanker and receiver connect via a high-pressure hose or boom, transferring fuel safely while flying at high speeds and altitudes. This capability enhances military flexibility, enabling fighters, bombers, and other aircraft to reach distant targets or maintain a prolonged presence without stopping for fuel.
