AIMS-NEI
AIMS-NEI stands for the Alzheimer's Institute of Michigan – National Eye Institute. It is a research initiative focused on studying how eye health and eye changes can reflect or predict Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative conditions. By exploring the eye as a window to brain health, AIMS-NEI aims to develop early, non-invasive methods for diagnosing and monitoring these diseases, potentially enabling earlier treatment and better outcomes. This collaboration brings together experts in eye care and neuroscience to improve understanding and detection of neurodegenerative conditions through eye-related research.
