AIEE (American Institute of Electrical Engineers)
The American Institute of Electrical Engineers (AIEE) was a professional organization founded in 1884 to support electrical engineers and promote advances in electrical technology. It provided a platform for engineers to share research, collaborate, and develop standards. In 1963, AIEE merged with the Institute of Radio Engineers (IRE) to form the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), which is now the world's largest organization for electrical, electronics, and computer engineers. The AIEE played a key role in shaping electrical engineering practices and fostering innovation during its existence.
