AIDSVAX
AIDSVAX is a type of vaccine developed to help prevent HIV infection by training the immune system to recognize and fight the virus. It contains pieces of the HIV virus (specifically proteins) that stimulate the body to produce protective antibodies without causing disease. Although it does not cure HIV or fully prevent infection, AIDSVAX helps strengthen the immune response, especially when used in combination with other preventive strategies. It has been studied in clinical trials to assess its safety and effectiveness as part of efforts to reduce HIV transmission globally.
