AIDA (Asteroid Impact & Deflection Assessment)

The Asteroid Impact & Deflection Assessment (AIDA) is a project aimed at understanding and testing how to prevent dangerous asteroids from hitting Earth. It involves studying specific asteroids, then attempting to change their course using spacecraft. The goal is to develop effective methods to deflect or alter the path of a potentially hazardous asteroid, reducing impact risks. AIDA combines observation, simulation, and actual intervention to improve planetary defense strategies, ensuring we can better predict and mitigate asteroid threats in the future.
