Ahmadis
Ahmadis are followers of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, a religious movement founded in the late 19th century by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad in India. They believe Ahmad was the promised messiah and reformer, interpreting Islamic teachings differently from mainstream Sunni and Shia Muslims. While they accept core Islamic beliefs, some of their beliefs—such as claims about him being a prophet or messiah—are controversial and not accepted by many mainstream Muslim groups. As a result, Ahmadis often face persecution and are sometimes not recognized as Muslims in certain countries. Despite this, they emphasize peace, interfaith dialogue, and humanitarian work.
