Ahmadinejad (Mahmoud Ahmadinejad)

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is an Iranian politician who served as the President of Iran from 2005 to 2013. Known for his conservative views, he emphasized Iran's nuclear program, espoused nationalist rhetoric, and questioned certain international policies. During his tenure, his government faced both support, for economic populism and strengthening Iran’s independence, and criticism, for human rights issues and for escalating tensions over Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Prior to presidency, he was a mayor of Tehran. His leadership significantly shaped Iran’s domestic policy and its relations with the global community, often sparking international debate over Iran's direction and policies.
