
Ahl-e Haqq
Ahl-e Haqq, or "People of Truth," is a religious and spiritual group primarily found in western Iran and parts of Iraq. They follow a unique belief system that combines elements of Islam, particularly Shi'a Islam, with pre-Islamic traditions and mysticism. Ahl-e Haqq emphasizes internal spirituality, moral living, and community values. They believe in a direct relationship with the divine and the importance of spiritual leaders, known as "Pirs." Their teachings focus on the pursuit of truth, love, and justice, often expressed through poetry and music. Their practices and rituals distinguish them from mainstream Islamic groups.
