agricultural exploitation

Agricultural exploitation occurs when those who own or control land and resources benefit unfairly from the labor of farmers or workers. This often means workers receive low pay, poor working conditions, or little opportunity for advancement, while corporations or landowners maximize profits. It can also involve overusing natural resources without regard for sustainability or environmental health. Essentially, it’s an imbalance where the efforts of farmers or workers are undervalued, and the benefits disproportionately favor those with control over the land or market power, leading to inequality and potential harm to communities and the environment.
