Agra Summit
The Agra Summit was a diplomatic meeting held in 1973 between India and Pakistan aimed at improving their strained relations after conflicts like the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War. Leaders Jawaharlal Nehru and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto discussed issues such as border disputes and peace initiatives. Although the summit generated optimism, it did not lead to immediate significant agreements. Nonetheless, it was an important step in diplomatic dialogue, symbolizing both countries' desire to resolve differences peacefully and lay the groundwork for future negotiations.
