Agential Realism
Agential Realism, a concept developed by philosopher Karen Barad, suggests that reality is shaped through dynamic interactions between entities—both human and non-human—that perform and participate in defining what is real. Instead of viewing objects as fixed and separate from us, it emphasizes that things become meaningful through these entangled actions and relationships. This perspective highlights that knowledge and materiality are interconnected, with observing and acting upon the world co-creating reality itself. Essentially, everything is interconnected, and outcomes are the result of ongoing, participatory processes rather than static, isolated objects.
