AGB
AGB, or Asymptotic Giant Branch, is a late stage in the life of a star similar in size to our Sun. During this phase, the star has exhausted its core hydrogen and helium fuel, causing it to expand dramatically and cool on the surface, turning it into a large, luminous, and often unstable star. It sheds significant amounts of its outer layers into space, creating beautiful planetary nebulae. AGB stars play a key role in enriching the universe with heavier elements, which are vital for forming new stars, planets, and even life.
