Agazians
The Agazians were an elite military unit within the Ethiopian Empire, particularly prominent during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Comprised mainly of soldiers from the Tigray region, they were known for their exceptional combat skills and loyalty to the emperor. The Agazians played crucial roles in key battles, helping to defend Ethiopia against foreign invasions and maintain its independence, notably during the First Italo-Ethiopian War. Their legacy reflects Ethiopia's rich military history and resilience in the face of colonialism. The term "Agazian" is also associated with pride in Ethiopian heritage and identity.
