Afrin

Afrin is a nasal spray containing oxymetazoline, a medication that temporarily relieves nasal congestion by constricting blood vessels in the nasal passages. This reduces swelling and opens up airways, making it easier to breathe. It’s typically used for short-term relief of stuffy noses caused by colds, allergies, or sinus infections. However, it should not be used for more than three days, as overuse can lead to rebound congestion—worsening nasal blockage. Afrin is effective for quick relief but should be used cautiously and according to instructions to avoid dependence or side effects.
