AFRICOM

AFRICOM, or the United States Africa Command, is one of the U.S. military’s regional commands responsible for overseeing military operations, partnerships, and security initiatives across Africa. Its goal is to promote stability, counter terrorism, assist with humanitarian efforts, and strengthen alliances with African nations. AFRICOM coordinates with various branches of the U.S. military and partners on projects that support peace and security on the continent. It functions as a strategic hub to address regional challenges while respecting the sovereignty of African countries.
