African Standby Force
The African Standby Force (ASF) is a collective security organization created by the African Union to enable quick and coordinated responses to crises on the continent, such as conflicts, humanitarian emergencies, or peacekeeping missions. It is composed of military, police, and civilian components from member countries, intended to deploy rapidly when needed. The ASF promotes stability and peace in Africa by providing a structured, prepared force that can act promptly to prevent or resolve conflicts, supporting the continent's efforts in conflict management and peace-building initiatives.
