African driver ants

African driver ants are highly organized and aggressive insect colonies found in sub-Saharan Africa. They live and hunt in large groups, known as swarms, that move continuously across the forest floor. These ants do not have a permanent nest; instead, they create temporary living tunnels called bivouacs by connecting their bodies. They are known for their powerful, relentless foraging, preying on other insects, small animals, and even reptiles. Their coordinated movement and formidable biting ability make them top predators in their environment. African driver ants play a crucial role in maintaining the ecological balance of their habitats.
