AFM (Atomic Force Microscopy) imaging uses a tiny, sensitive probe to "feel" the surface of a specimen at the atomic or molecular level. The probe scans across the surface, gently tapping or sliding along it, while a laser and detector measure the forces between the tip and the sample. These measurements create detailed, high-resolution images that reveal surface features, textures, and structures down to nanometer scales. AFM is widely used in science and engineering to analyze materials, biological samples, and nanostructures, providing insights into their physical properties and morphology with precision.
