Afikomen
The Afikomen is a piece of matzah (unleavened bread) that is hidden during the Jewish Passover Seder. Typically, a child hides a portion of the matzah early in the celebration, and later in the Seder, the family searches for it. The person who finds the Afikomen often receives a reward. This tradition symbolizes the end of the meal and the remembrance of the Passover sacrifice. The Afikomen also serves as a connection to past generations and the ongoing Jewish heritage.
