Afghan traditional instruments

Afghan traditional instruments reflect the country’s rich cultural heritage. Key instruments include the *rubab*, a lute-like string instrument with a deep, resonant sound, often called Afghanistan's national instrument; the *dutar*, a two-stringed lute played with a pick, producing melodic tunes; and the *tabla* and *dhol*, drums that provide rhythm for dances and ceremonies.
