Aesthetic Anti-realism
Aesthetic anti-realism is the philosophical view that aesthetic judgments—our opinions about what is beautiful or artistic—don't correspond to any objective facts or qualities in the world. Instead, these judgments are subjective, based on personal feelings, cultural context, or individual preferences. In other words, when someone says a painting is beautiful, they aren’t stating a fact about the painting itself but expressing their personal reaction. Aesthetic anti-realism challenges the idea that beauty exists independently and emphasizes that aesthetic experiences are rooted in individual or social perspectives.
