Aesopian Language
Aesopian language refers to the use of coded or figurative expressions to convey messages that might be sensitive, forbidden, or controversial. It allows speakers to communicate ideas indirectly, often to avoid censorship, punishment, or persecution. Historically, it was used by writers and speakers under oppressive regimes to subtly express dissent or critique without explicitly stating their intentions. The language employs allegories, metaphors, or symbolic references, enabling ideas to be understood by those in the know while remaining hidden from outsiders or authorities.
