Aesir (as in Norse Gods)
The Aesir are one of the two main groups of gods in Norse mythology, the other being the Vanir. They are associated with power, war, and governance, and include prominent figures like Odin, the chief god; Thor, the god of thunder; and Frigg, Odin's wife. The Aesir reside in Asgard, one of the Nine Realms, and are central to many myths explaining creation, destiny, and the cosmos. Their stories reflect themes of heroism, mortality, and the struggle against chaos, ultimately culminating in the apocalyptic event known as Ragnarok.
