Aerogramme
An aerogramme is a lightweight, unfolded paper letter used for international mailing, often pre-paid. Designed to be folded and sealed into its own envelope, it reduces weight and postage costs. Typically thin and delicate, aerogrammes are often used for personal correspondence by travelers or expatriates. They normally include printed areas for the sender's and recipient's addresses, and sometimes a pre-printed stamp or space for one. Once filled out, they are folded into a self-contained envelope, making international communication more efficient and economical, especially before digital communication became widespread.
