Advanced Practice Nurse

An Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) is a registered nurse with additional education and training, often at the master’s or doctoral level, that enables them to perform higher-level clinical duties. They can assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patient care, much like doctors. APNs often specialize in areas such as family practice, pediatrics, or mental health, providing expert care, health education, and disease prevention. They work independently or alongside physicians, improving access to healthcare and offering comprehensive, personalized services to patients.
