Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS)

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are technological features in vehicles designed to enhance safety and improve driving comfort. These systems use sensors, cameras, and radar to monitor the vehicle's surroundings and provide real-time feedback to the driver. Common functions include lane-keeping assistance, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and parking assistance. By helping drivers avoid accidents and reduce fatigue, ADAS aims to create a safer driving environment. While they enhance safety, they are not replacements for attentive driving; the driver remains responsible for vehicle control.
