ADMET properties

ADMET refers to how a drug interacts with the body, encompassing five key properties: Absorption (how well the drug enters the bloodstream), Distribution (where the drug travels within the body), Metabolism (how the body breaks down the drug), Excretion (how the drug or its metabolites are eliminated), and Toxicity (potential harmful effects). Understanding ADMET helps scientists determine if a drug is safe and effective for use, guiding the development of new medications by predicting how they behave and ensuring they don’t cause adverse effects.
