ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Excretion)

ADME describes how a drug moves through the body after it is taken. Absorption is how the drug enters the bloodstream, often through the stomach or intestines. Distribution is how the drug spreads to different tissues and organs. Metabolism involves the body's process of breaking down the drug, usually in the liver, to make it easier to eliminate. Excretion is how the body removes the drug and its breakdown products, mainly through urine or stool. Together, ADME helps determine the drug's effectiveness and safety by explaining how it is processed and eliminated over time.
