Adi Parva

Adi Parva is the first book of the Indian epic Mahabharata. It sets the stage by describing the origins of the world, the creation of mankind, and the lineage of royal families. It introduces important characters like King Pandu and the Pandava brothers, as well as the importance of dharma (righteousness). The Parva also covers early deeds, royal histories, and the circumstances leading to the great Kurukshetra war. Essentially, it provides the background, mythology, and context for the epic’s central story about duty, morality, and fate.
