Adam Walsh

Adam Walsh was a young boy who was tragically abducted and murdered in 1981, which led to increased awareness and laws regarding child safety. His case prompted the U.S. government to establish the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and enact the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act in 2006. This law aims to improve child identification, enhance law enforcement tools, and strengthen efforts to prevent child abuse and abduction. The act honors Adam’s memory by promoting greater safety measures and support for victims of child exploitation and abduction.
