Adam's Bridge (Ram Setu)

Adam's Bridge, also known as Ram Setu, is a chain of natural limestone shoals between India and Sri Lanka. It appears as a landform that creates a natural causeway or bridge over the sea. According to Hindu mythology, it was built by Lord Rama's army to facilitate his journey to rescue Sita from demon king Ravana. Geologically, it is considered a fragile land formation made of limestone, sandbanks, and coral reefs. The bridge holds cultural, religious, and archaeological significance and is also a subject of scientific study concerning its origin—whether it is entirely natural or has been modified by human activity.
