AD/CVD Investigations

AD (Antidumping) and CVD (Countervailing Duties) investigations are processes used by governments to address unfair trade practices. AD investigations assess whether foreign companies are selling products in a country at prices lower than their home market, harming local industries. CVD investigations examine if foreign governments are providing financial subsidies to their companies, giving them an unfair advantage. If unfair practices are confirmed, the importing country may impose additional tariffs or duties to level the playing field, protecting domestic producers and ensuring fair competition.
