Acuerdo de paz de Oslo

The Acuerdo de Paz de Oslo, signed in 1993, was a landmark agreement aimed at resolving the long-standing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It established a framework for mutual recognition, with Israel recognizing the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) as the representative of the Palestinian people, and the PLO recognizing Israel's right to exist. The agreement created the Palestinian Authority to govern parts of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, laying the groundwork for future negotiations on final borders and statehood. Although it marked a significant step toward peace, many issues remain unresolved, and the process has faced ongoing challenges.
