ActiveX Scripting

ActiveX Scripting is a technology used by software to allow different programs or add-ons to run scripts—small sets of instructions—inside applications like Internet Explorer or Windows. It enables web pages or applications to interact dynamically, such as filling out forms or controlling devices. However, because scripts can be exploited for security risks or malware, ActiveX scripting is often disabled or restricted in modern browsers, especially on the internet, to protect users while still allowing trusted programs to function properly.
