Active voice

Active voice is a way of constructing sentences where the subject performs the action. For example, "The chef cooked dinner" clearly shows the chef (subject) doing the cooking (action). In contrast, passive voice would be "Dinner was cooked by the chef," where the focus shifts away from the doer. Using active voice makes sentences more direct, clear, and engaging, as it emphasizes who is performing the action. It is commonly preferred in most writing contexts for its straightforwardness and immediacy.
