Active noise cancellation

Active noise cancellation (ANC) is a technology that reduces unwanted background sounds by using microphones to pick up ambient noise. The device then generates an opposite sound wave, called an "anti-noise," which cancels out the noise through a process called destructive interference. This results in a quieter listening experience. ANC is commonly used in headphones and earbuds to minimize external sounds, allowing for clearer audio and a more focused experience without increasing volume levels. The technology works best with consistent, low-frequency noises like engines or hums.
