Action and Intention
Action refers to a behavior or movement carried out by a person, such as writing, speaking, or walking. Intention is the mental goal or purpose behind that action—what someone aims to achieve or express. For example, if you reach for a glass, your action is the reach, and your intention might be to drink water. Understanding the difference helps us see that actions are observable physical behaviors, while intentions are the mental reasons why those behaviors occur. Recognizing both can lead to better communication and comprehension of human behavior.
