Actinide series

The actinide series is a group of 15 chemical elements, from actinium to lawrencium, located in the bottom row of the rare earth section of the periodic table. These elements are characterized by their radioactive nature and include several used in nuclear reactors and weapons, such as uranium and plutonium. They have similar properties, like being metals that can conduct electricity and heat, but are also notable for their ability to form various compounds and their complex electronic behaviors. The actinides are important in energy production, scientific research, and have unique challenges related to their radioactivity.
