Acoustic streaming

Acoustic streaming is the steady flow of fluid generated by the pressure waves of sound or ultrasound. When sound waves move through a liquid, they create small, oscillating forces that push the fluid, producing continuous, directional movement. This phenomenon occurs due to the transfer of energy from the sound waves to the fluid, resulting in fluid motion even after the sound source stops. Acoustic streaming is useful in various applications, such as mixing fluids, enhancing heat transfer, and aiding in medical treatments, by providing controlled and gentle fluid flow without physical contact.
