Achiral

Achiral refers to objects or molecules that are superimposable on their mirror images, meaning they have no distinct left or right form. In contrast to chiral objects, which have a “handedness” (like your left and right hands), achiral objects look the same when flipped or reflected. This property is important in chemistry, as many molecules' behaviors depend on their chirality. Achiral molecules often have symmetrical structures, making them identical to their mirror images, and they usually do not exhibit optical activity (such as rotating polarized light).
