Achaean Greeks

The Achaean Greeks were an ancient Greek tribe and civilization that lived mainly in the northern and central Peloponnese region during the late Bronze Age and early Iron Age (around 1600–1100 BCE). They are often associated with the Mycenaean culture, known for their sophisticated palaces, advanced art, and militaristic society. The term "Achaean" is also used in Homer's epic poems to describe the Greek fighters in the Trojan War. Historically, the Achaeans contributed to the development of Greek language, religion, and political structures, forming a foundation for later classical Greek civilization.
