ACH Originator

An ACH Originator is an individual, business, or organization that starts or initiates an electronic payment through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network. This network processes various types of financial transactions, such as direct deposits, bill payments, or business-to-business payments. The ACH Originator’s role is to send instructions to their bank or payment processor to transfer funds to or from another party’s account. Essentially, they initiate the transaction, and the ACH network securely moves the money electronically between accounts, making payments more efficient and cost-effective than paper checks.
