Accomplice
An accomplice is a person who actively participates in committing a crime alongside the primary offender. This individual assists, encourages, or facilitates the criminal act, knowing its unlawful nature. An accomplice can be someone who helps plan, provides tools, or helps carry out the crime. Legally, accomplices are held responsible for the offense, even if they weren't the main perpetrator, because their involvement helped bring about the illegal result. Their level of responsibility can vary depending on their level of participation, but generally, they face similar charges as the principal offender.
