Acadian Society

The Acadian Society is a community focused on preserving and promoting the culture, history, and heritage of the Acadian people—descendants of 17th-century French settlers in parts of Eastern Canada, especially New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. It often involves cultural events, education, and historical research to celebrate Acadian traditions, language, music, and customs. The society aims to strengthen community bonds, raise awareness of Acadian history—including the tragic Expulsion of the Acadians in the 18th century—and support ongoing cultural identity and pride within the Acadian population.
