ABS (Anti-lock Braking System)
ABS, or Anti-lock Braking System, is a safety feature in vehicles that prevents the wheels from locking up during hard braking. When you brake suddenly, ABS uses sensors to monitor wheel speed; if it detects a wheel is about to lock, it temporarily reduces brake pressure to keep the wheel turning. This helps maintain steering control and reduces the risk of skidding, allowing you to stop effectively while retaining directional control. ABS activates automatically, offering enhanced safety by optimizing braking performance, especially on slippery or uneven surfaces.
