Abraxane

Abraxane is a chemotherapy medication used to treat cancer, including breast, lung, and pancreatic cancers. It contains a special form of the drug paclitaxel that is bound to tiny particles called albumin, a protein found in blood. This allows the medicine to be delivered more effectively directly to cancer cells. By doing so, Abraxane can help shrink tumors and slow cancer growth while often causing fewer side effects compared to traditional chemotherapy. It is usually given through an IV and is part of a broader treatment plan managed by healthcare providers.
