Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs
Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is a psychological theory describing human motivation through five levels. Starting from the bottom, the basics include physiological needs like food, water, and shelter. Next are safety needs such as security and stability. The third level involves social needs—relationships, love, and belonging. Above that are esteem needs, like respect and recognition. At the top is self-actualization, where individuals pursue personal growth, creativity, and fulfilling their potential. According to Maslow, people are motivated to satisfy these needs in order, beginning with basic survival before seeking higher personal development.
